Raising awareness on environmental pollution, personal hygiene and health

17th May - 21st May, 2017, Cox's Bazaar - AYNA is a pilot project in a series of workshops that YES Alumni Bangladesh are hoping to organize over the next several months; first in Cox’s Bazar, followed by Jessore and then again in Cox’s Bazar. YES Alumni Bangladesh plans to merge the ideas of raising awareness on environmental pollution, personal hygiene and health along with goals of the previously implemented ‘Coastal Clean-up’ project of 2016, to create a larger awareness about environmental pollution and how it impacts the lives of people in the selected regions where AYNA is going to be held. A team of YES alumni left Dhaka on the night of 17th of May, 2017. They arrived in Cox’s Bazaar at 3PM the next day, and later visited some schools to inform them about the AYNA project and also provide information about the YES Program. The BIAM school in particular was very eager to host YES Alumni Bangladesh for not only the AYNA project, but also for prospective classes on subjects including English, Mathematics and Science arranged by the alumni association. The alumni also visited the DC Office, but were disappointed to find that he was away and therefore could not meet him to speak about the follow up of the earlier Coastal Clean-up Project. On Saturday, the alumni visited a few more schools, and then started off towards Dhaka at 9PM that night.
